Did Nurture Fostering show compliance with the care plan?

Nurture Fostering has always been very communicative, providing regular updates about the child and seeking our views on key aspects of their care. The team has been proactive in following up and raising any issues, demonstrating excellent compliance with the care plan.

Verbal and written communication

Excellent.

Communication has been consistent, timely, and proactive throughout the placement.

Ability to work in partnership

Excellent.

Nurture Fostering has worked collaboratively with us throughout the placement, maintaining open communication and a positive approach to meeting the child's needs.

Did the foster carer make the child feel welcome? Please provide some examples of the foster carer's work that you have observed.

Yes.

Due to the child's young age, they are unable to express this themselves. However, our observations were that the child appeared relaxed, comfortable, and safe in the foster carer's care during our visits. They adjusted quickly to the transition into the foster family's home, indicating they felt welcomed and well supported.

The child has developed positive relationships with the foster family's children, enjoying their interactions and appearing excited to see them, often smiling, giggling, and running to greet them.

Was the home always clean and warm?

The home was always seen to be in excellent condition during our visits. It was very clean, warm, welcoming, and appropriately safe for a young child, with suitable safety measures in place. We have had no concerns regarding the home environment.

How was your experience of the interaction with the foster carer?

Our interactions with the foster carer have always been positive. They have been polite, warm, friendly, and welcoming, while also seeking advice to ensure they were providing the best possible care for the child.

The foster carer has played an active role in Child Looked After Reviews, contributing to care planning and ensuring their views are shared in key discussions. They respond promptly to communication and have kept the child's life story records well updated with photographs and important memories.

Please provide examples of any areas requiring improvement.

No areas of concern have been identified.

If a similar situation arose again, would you use this foster carer again?

Yes – absolutely.

Please comment on the foster carer's strengths.

The foster carer is warm and responsive, recognising the child as an individual and responding consistently to their needs.

They established a strong routine quickly, providing stability and consistency. They have supported the child to access playgroups and opportunities to spend time with other children. They are organised, communicative, and able to recognise when they need advice, seeking support appropriately to ensure the child receives the best possible care.
