Did the foster carer make the child feel welcome? Please can you provide some examples of the foster carer’s work that you have observed.
The Foster Carer's overall care of the foster child has been excellent. The carer has provided him with a stable, loving and nurturing home. He can be seen to be confidant, developing well and safe and secure in her care.
the foster carer has a good support network and large family. her mother is a foster carer and the family are therefore open to/experienced with fostering. The family network have supported the foster child, and he has gone to family trips, play dates and this has offered him stability and consistent caring adults around him.
The foster Carer is patient, fun and interactive with the foster child. he benefits from going swimming, daily outings and having lots of one-to-one time and attention from the foster carer.
At visits, I have observed her making jokes with him, giving him lots of cuddles, reassurance and the space to learn independently but also through support. The foster carer knows his cues and responds well to his needs.
Was the home always clean and warm? Home is always clean and well presented. Child centred offering toys and space for the foster child to play. he has his own room which is as safe and clean space for him to sleep.
How was your experience of the interaction with the foster carer? She has presented as honest, open and communicative. The foster carer has welcomed professionals and engaged with them well. She presents as loving toward the foster child, she has given him her time, attention and support. he has thrived in her care.
If a situation arose again would you use this foster carer again? Yes. she has been nurturing and loving toward the foster child and he has been safe and secure in her care.

the foster carer is able to put her love and care into her fostering. It is clear that she is a nurturing person who loves children. She is empathetic, fun and confidant, which the foster child has benefited from. she has absorbed him into her family network, and he has felt love, belonging and security from this.
